Brrrrrrrrrr

We embark on an evening that I don't think I (Jon) have ever experienced before- the bitter wind chill of the the great north woods. Don't get me wrong, I know I have been around a number of cold days as the wind whipped in it's furry off of the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains and blew so hard that the high plains all but bowed down to it's power. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. ElliAnna's first week in this world has put a new meaning into the phrase, "It's a cold world." Temperatures last week averaged -20, at noon. But with yesterday's warm spell gone like Christmas presents on Christmas morning, we find ourselves in new territory.

At 9:53 pm central standard time the weather channel reports a -14 actual and -44 wind chill. Houses make weird sound at that temperature. Makes that warm Brazilian sunshine most appealing!

huddling up,
Jon and Denielle and ElliAnna

Don't you love it? sit around in a blanket by the fire, drink hot chocolate... I actually wouldn't mind being there now! :)

Wow, I can't imagine how cold it would be outside over there!! It's only 32 degrees here, and I was freezing outside! (Of course, Nick was throwing snowballs at me, too ;))
