Home on the Range [Iron]

We pulled out of Hot Springs at a not so bright and early 8:30 am on Tuesday after enjoying a final breakfast at the Flat Iron. 8:30 is not early enough for the long trek between the Iron Range of Minnesota and the Southern Black Hills of South Dakota. Fourteen hours later we pulled into 6188 Pincherry, safe, road weary and grateful to have arrived. Our traveling partner, Missy, (our twelve year old black lab) was more delighted than either of us to have arrived.

We praise the Lord for the safe trip. We've decided that whenever we write a book about our travels (not that they are that exciting . . . that others would actually want to read about them) we are going to call it "Casey's and Culver's" after our fuel station and fast food joint.

We are settling into life in the North Woods these days, looking into our housing options, finding medical care for Denielle and the baby, and trying to let it sink in that we are actually living here, not just visiting for a time.

God has abundantly provided for us, Jon starts work on Monday for a local contractor who will allow us to travel when we need to. We are going to be busy.

Pray with us as we pursue options for various deputation ministries this fall.
