Not So Distant Future

We had been planning our summer schedule for months in advance. What a good reminder these weeks in July have been about just how much control we have over our lives. We plan, but then submit it to God. We organize, but only under His authority.

And so we approach the questions that arise in our hearts as a result of this fire with that same submission to God, knowing that He moves in our lives to draw us into a greater dependence upon Himself. We ask, “Where should we settle down? How long should we stay there? What about the baby? And when can we get to Brasil?”

Lord willing, some of these questions will be answered in the next couple of days and weeks, while others will have to wait until later. Pray for us as we consider the options, that we would remove personal goals and ambitions, and be broken vessels
