The Final Week: Home Assignment Update 012

Well, in all reality we are not trying to think about it that way though the reality of it all is evident in the 5 packed trunks we have sitting out in the garage ...

Here are a few random thoughts as I sit this far out, thinking of all that God has done...

We are basking in the greatness of our God who answered prayer and met our needs in wonderful and profound ways.
We are rejoicing in God´s great and faithful use of His Word in the lives of many. We are thankful that He allowed us to see His Word produce fruit first hand.
We are celebrating seven great, and precious years together as a couple.
We are ashamed at how materialism has crept into our thoughts and actions. (Did we really think we could pack it all?)
We are amazed at the timing of it all. We learned last week that our visas had been approved at the end of 2011. That gave us 9 months to return to Brazil and request our id cards or else we would have to start the entire process over again. 9 months is up on September 8th. We will arrive back with one week to spare.
We are trusting that God knows the best house and car for us to get settled into upon our return, we think we know what we need, but really, I´d rather trust the One who can see the end from the beginning. (Wish List: a good location that will allow us to stay in one house for at least 2 years, a big enough house to be able to host the numerous people that have promised to visit, an efficient car but -?- also big enough to carry more than our family,)
We are excited about churches and individuals who have expressed a desire to see the work in RS up close.
We are hopeful that God will give us safety as we travel back and patience as we walk with our children through the next several weeks.

Thanks for praying!
Jonathan
