One more "by the way:" I'm glad to see we have finally had some sane voters on our poll. Thank you! :)
Here are some of the videos and pictures I have been promising.
The video above is of the children's presentation for Easter last Sunday. ElliAnna still sings the song "em casa" and can do all the actions certinho. She hadn't ever seen the skit part of the song so during the video she gets a little distracted.
The video above is another one for your viewing enjoyment. Our choir practiced this one for three weeks and presented it twice on Sunday. Thank you Ron Hamilton.
In the picture above: (from left to right) Lucas, Pastor Fabio, Jordana, Maria, Samanta, and Emerson. Part of our Easter retreat. Pray for Pastor Fabio who's car door was struck by a biciclist on Tuesday. He opened the door and they guy smacked. The cyclist fell to the road and hit his head. It could be a couple of years before this whole process gets worked out.
Above: Jordana is always making faces at food.
Above: ElliAnna is growing so fast. She is so much fun. I'm not sure what happened to the color in this one it looks like one of those old double exposures or something.
Above: Proof that the family is growing.
Above: Stating the obvious . . . I am a slow speaker- in English. It can be excruciating for those who are trying to listen to me, to stay awake, to follow my thoughts, to know when I am done or if I will come out with another five points . . . etc. Now, transfer all of that slowness into a second language and you can kind of see how much more difficult it might be for Brazilians to sit through one of my sermons. Well, they did just that a few weeks ago and were kind enough to film the whole thing. I think they want to keep this as a record to bring up at church anniversaries or retreats in the future. I thought it might be fun for you to have a listen too. The video is long and includes some of the music that we sang. Two of the songs come from English but are much better in Portuguese. For those of you who can endure, you will be given the satisfaction of completing the task to the end. To those of you who can't, I don't blame you. At least you'll know how to pray for our youth group and church family better. As one of my teachers used to always say, "Remember, your people have to endure you."
