Hi :) I, Denielle, posted this on my personal blog tonight, and thought y'all might like to read it here, too. It's kind of a journal entry of sorts - it might make sense and it might not. But that's me for ya. :) Thanks for reading.

Uncle Peter

Uncle Peter is here and ElliAnna has found a new favorite playmate! Already he is making her giggle and she is reading books and playing games with him. It's very special - and makes me wish, oh so much, that the rest of our family could be here, too! Someday soon. :)
I feel as though I have so many new understandings and realizations about life here, about my walk with God, about my parenting and my marriage - all these things flood my brain and sometimes overwhelm me! Often throughout the day I think, "I need to blog about this! I really want my moms to hear about this!" But then it's 10:30 pm, Elli's in bed, the laundry's hanging up to dry, the dishes are washed, and I don't even have the energy or drive to take a shower before bed! (I do shower, but it's pretty much a sleepy time :)) Jon encouraged me today that this is only a phase - things will not always be so busy as they are now with language school, and he is right. I know that you all understand when I don't communicate often or as deeply as I wish to. . . and I'm often choosing to leave that with God, knowing that HE knows and that He will take care of my loved ones' understanding of me, even if I can't communicate it like I'd like to. :)

When we first got here, I desired to take the first plane straight back to the States. But that's not the case any more. I am very blessed by the new relationships we're forming with Brazilians, and I'm still driving ahead towards our partial goal of learning Portuguese. I am also desiring to drive ahead ever stronger and stronger towards out ultimate goal of glorifying Christ through each and every day of our lives. Pressing on - because this is where God has me, this is what He has called me to do, and this is the day HE has made. :)
We have a very busy week planned with Peter - one that will be filled with many pictures, I'm sure. So... eventually we will have them posted on our joint blog. Hopefully I'll have some pics of church up here soon, too.
